Checking a Gas Engineer in Beckenham
Two Showers at Once in a Bromley Home
Heating Services ltd, a heating and plumbing company based in Oxted, Surrey, covers unvented cylinder work in Bromley and other towns across London, Surrey and Kent. An unvented cylinder is a sealed tank fed from the mains, giving hot water at mains pressure, and fitting one is regulated work.
What is an unvented hot water cylinder?
A sealed, mains fed cylinder that delivers hot water at the same pressure as the cold. Upstairs showers run without a pump, and two bathrooms can be used together. With no cold tank in the loft, the space is yours again.
It is a pressurised vessel, so installation and servicing are regulated work. Heating Services ltd engineers hold the unvented qualification and leave the paperwork with you. Mains flow is checked first, since a weak supply cannot feed one properly.
What happens if my radiator isn't working?
The room stays cold, and if the cause is sludge or air it tends to spread to other central heating installation in Edenbridge radiators over time. Left alone, sludge works its way towards the boiler, so early attention pays.
How is a boiler repair handled in Bromley?
A fault code says where to start looking, not which part to fit. Pressure loss, for example, can be a leak, a failed expansion vessel or a passing valve, and each costs a very different amount to put right.
Heating Services ltd diagnoses first and quotes the repair in writing before any work is done. All major makes and models are covered, with common parts on board to fix things first time where possible.
Why would one radiator suddenly stop working?
Usually a stuck thermostatic valve pin, trapped air, or sludge settling in that radiator. Feel where it is cold: the top suggests air, the bottom suggests sludge.
Does the floor covering affect underfloor heating?
Wet underfloor heating runs warm water through pipe loops under the floor, cooler than radiators. The manifold is what lets rooms be controlled one by one. Heating Services ltd designs and fits it, and repairs systems already in place.
Tile and stone pass heat readily; thick carpet and underlay hold it back. That has to be designed in before anything is screeded. Retrofitting is possible, but floor height and insulation come first.
